Easter Egg and Holy Treasure Hunt
Each spring, during Holy Week, children and their families participate in our Easter Egg and Holy Treasure Hunt. We use this event as an outreach program into the community to bring people together and share the love of Christ.
In order to be a light upon the world, the Church must participate in that world. Often programs, such as the Easter Egg Hunt, that draw community participation in a friendly and exciting way, is the first step in building relationships that lead to conversations about the gospel. It is very important for the congregation to be apart and within the Grand Rapids community that surrounds the church.
During the Easter Egg Hunt, children are also searching for a variety of "Holy Treasures" that represent different parts of the Easter story. Before the hunt begins, the children are told the Easter story using the various 'treasures' that they will be searching for.
For older children, the church has a Holy Pilgrimage. On this pilgrimage, the older children go back in time to Holy Week and experience living scenes that tell the story of Easter.
Please consider joining us this spring for this exciting annual event.
