General Information and History

Third Reformed Church was originally founded in 1875. For over 125 years Third has been a light in the Grand Rapids community!

The church was formed as a daughter congregation of Second Reformed for the Dutch migrants that had moved to Grand Rapids. The church originally had two Dutch and two English services every Sunday! Sorry Pastor Kent, we love you, but your Sundays are nothing like old Adrian Kriekard's were.

During our 125 year history, Third has had 16 ministers, has sponsored four new congregations, been apart of the Reformed Church of America, and has moved to its current location at 2060 Michigan St.

For more information see this site. Or come visit us and help be apart of our next 125 years of history!
